Alix has over 18 years’ experience in energy infrastructure across the UK and Africa. Prior to joining Lion’s Head, Alix spent 4 years with infrastructure investor, InfraCo Africa, focusing on financing projects across the power, transport and logistics sectors, with a focus on minigrids. Before that she consulted for a renewable energy developer in Tanzania, supporting them to secure financing to develop hydropower projects servicing both the national grid and rural distribution networks.

Alix’s passion for developing and financing minigrids has featured throughout her career, as she believes they have a vital role in delivering the Sustainable Development Goal 7: Ensuring access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all.

Before moving to Africa, Alix spent 10 years with global energy utility, Centrica, where she expanded her expertise in UK infrastructure, across the downstream and midstream businesses. Alix holds a Masters in Energy, Environmental Technology and Economics.

She has extensive experience in the development, construction and commissioning of greenfield wind farms and solar power plants, and also leading M&A processes in Europe, Latin America and North of Africa as she worked for Iberdrola for more than ten years. Earlier in her career she worked for a wind turbine manufacturer Gamesa and supported Spanish companies to develop their business in the Mexican market working at the Spanish Economic and Trade Office at the Embassy of Spain in Mexico.

Carmen is an engineer and holds an MBA by Fundación CECO (ICEX), Madrid.

Before that he worked for Goldman Sachs for thirteen years. His last position at Goldman was Chief Risk Officer of Goldman’s commercial bank. Before that he ran a credit trading desk in the commodities business, headed the Latin America Debt Capital Markets team, and was responsible for managing the firm’s Latin America sovereign and credit risk. Prior to joining Goldman, Chris taught economics at Boston College and Columbia University.

Chris has a Ph.D. (Economics) and an M.I.A. (International Affairs) from Columbia University and a B.A. from Oberlin College. He chairs the boards of Oberlin’s Board of Trustees, the Fund for Global Human Rights and the Institute for New Economic Thinking. He is a lifetime member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He spent his childhood living in Latin America and Spain.

Christopher (Edge) is an expert in the structuring and execution of innovative financing solutions.

Prior to establishing LHGP, Edge spent 14 years at Goldman Sachs within the Debt Capital Markets group. In his last role he was Head of the Sovereign, Supranational and Agency team. He spent six years within the EEMEA emerging markets team, where he worked primarily in Greece, Hungary, Israel, Turkey and South Africa.

In 2002 Edge joined the European Sovereign Financing team, which he headed from 2006, providing vanilla and innovative financing solutions to Goldman Sachs’ leading franchise in this sector. During this time he worked on transactions in Belgium, Germany, and the UK.

He was the lead banker on a new multilateral development institution – The International Finance Facility for Immunisation (IFFIm), on behalf of the governments of France, Italy, Norway, Spain, South Africa, Sweden and the UK.

Edge received an MA in Biochemistry from Christ Church College at Oxford University.

Cora is licensed as a Barrister and Solicitor by the Law Society of Ontario. She holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours Psychology) from the University of Ottawa.

Prior to joining Lion’s Head Dan spent over 20 years with the British Army, working predominantly as a senior strategist and policy adviser in the UK Ministry of Defence. He has extensive experience in the Middle East and Africa and served operational tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. He joined Lion's Head in 2017 as an Executive Director, providing strategic advice and technical expertise to a range of clients, including the Government of Jordan, USAID's INVEST initiative, and United for Global Mental Health. Dan is a graduate of the UK Joint Command and Staff Course and has an MA in International and Defence Relations from King’s College, London.

He was previously a Project Leader at Open Capital Group, a management consulting and financial advisory firm that drives growth, enables investment and builds markets across Africa, where he focussed on developing business and industry strategies and addressing difficult operational challenges for high-growth enterprises across Sub Saharan Africa to scale and attract investment.

Daniel holds a Bachelor of Business, IT degree from Strathmore University and is currently pursuing an MSc. Development Finance Degree at the Strathmore Business School.

Pablo joined Lion's Head in 2019 and is based in London. At Lion’s Head Pablo is focused on Lusophone Africa and primarily supports Advisory work.

Prior to this, he spent time working as a Financial Analyst at the investment banking department at Banco Economico, a bank based in Luanda, where he worked on a number of investments in agriculture, mining and construction sectors. Other work included advising client's on numerous phases of their investments into the country. He subsequently worked as a Debt Capital Markets Analyst for the same institution.

Pablo holds a BSc. in Economics from the University of Nottingham and two MSc., one in Finance and another in International Business from HULT International Business School.

Earlier in his career, Thibault worked within the Bolloré Group, to structure infrastructure development under PPP scheme in Africa and emerging countries. Thibault is a graduate in Corporate Finance from Rennes School of Business and holds a Master’s degree in Management.

Bim Hundal

Bim Hundal, who passed away in 2017, was Lion’s Head’s chairman and founder, and was instrumental in guiding the firm to where it is today. Bim was a friend and mentor to all of us at Lion’s Head and the firm has grown into a flourishing, successful business thanks to his inspiration and the foundations that he helped lay.
