Africa GreenCo have announced the launch of a competitive procurement process to select a 10-40 MW solar PV pilot project in Zambia from which GreenCo will purchase renewable energy under its transformative business model. The pilot project will not only add much needed renewable energy supply in Zambia but importantly also aid in the implementation of the wider Government of Zambia objectives for the development of the Zambian Energy Supply Industry. The pilot project will generate up to 80GWh of renewable energy per year, which will be sold to large consumers and utilities in Zambia and through the regional competitive markets.
